Capricorn Film Festival launches tonight!

The very popular Central Queensland film festival will kick off celebrations with a screening of New Zealand drama, Bellbird.

“We’re excited, opening night is finally here and we start it off with such a fantastic movie,” said festival director Luke Graham.

Australian screen legend Michael Caton was recently announced as the festival patron and will join other guests throughout the duration of the festival including Bellbird actor Cohen Holloway, also known for The Breaker Upperers, Boy and Hunt for the Wilderpeople. 

From Bellbird, through to the documentary screening of Tommy Emmanuel (Read out review here), it’s an exciting four days of national and international film premieres which also includes the must-see documentary Happy Sad Man (Read out interview here) and CAPS Outdoor Short Film Festival. Yeppoon Local band The Hello Brothers, will play the after party.

The Opening Party starts at 6:30PM at Yeppoon Town Hall. Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the door.
