Cinema Australia readers have been given an exclusive first-look at a fresh clip from new Australian horror film, Beast No More.
Directed by Aaron Warwick from a script by Jennifer Van Gessel and Matthew J. Schelle, Beast No More stars Jessica Tovey, Dan Ewing, Roy Billing, Erin Connor and Taya Calder-Mason.
“It’s exciting that all our hard work has paid off and we have a movie to show everyone,” Van Gessel told Cinema Australia.
“I think the set up is familiar, but the journey turns in ways viewers won’t expect. Hopefully it keeps them guessing and they connect with the characters at the same time. It is horror in many ways but it’s based in reality; in the end viewers should want to go home and hug their children.”
In Beast No More, Jessica Tovey plays Mary Jane – a young biologist suffering the loss of a child escapes suburbia in favour of the Australian bush. Amidst her grief she is offered the chance to be a mother again, only it comes at a cost.
Beast No More plays Monster Fest on Saturday, 2 November. Details here.
