Genna Chanelle Hayes’ Unifying New Series Empowers Women
The first teaser has been released for Genna Chanelle Hayes’ new series Sisters. Sisters explores the deep friendship between four unique Australian twenty-something girls as they navigate modern society and evolve through love, loss, cultural differences, sexuality, faith and trauma.
The series stars Tariro Mavondo, Gemma Forsyth, Marlikka Perdrisat, Genna Chanelle Hayes, Mark Coles Smith, Martin Sacks, Travis Jeffrey, Natasha Wanganeen and Denise Richards.
Sisters was written, directed and produced by young trailblazer talent Genna Chanelle Hayes.
Hayes said that she is thrilled with the response that Sisters has received thus far.
“It’s an exciting project, created with the intention of bringing women together from all walks of life. What I’d love is for the series to encourage women to love and support each other despite any perceived differences. We are stronger united.”
Hayes is also currently completing her feature film directorial debut Akoni, which centres on a Nigerian refugee who is forced to flee his homeland and integrate into Australian society.
Sisters will be released online this month.
