In Hobart this weekend?
Whether you’re a zombie flick fan, a Western fan and/or you’re a filmmaker interested in unusual financing models and clever low-budget production, you won’t want to miss Bullets for the Dead presented by Monster Fest with assistance of FilmInk & Griffith University.
A beautifully-lensed horror western out of Queensland that puts a gang of thieves in the charge of a bounty hunter as they attempt to avoid zombie cannibals while traversing the Old West. With the feisty and outspoken Annie Blake (played by Vanessa Moltzen) chewing the scenery as much as the zombies are munching on the cast, the eye-patched bounty hunter James Dalton has more to contend with than just forming a zombie hit squad. Cathy Rodda (Iron Sky) and Norm Wilkinson (Time Guardian) produced Bullets in league with Griffith University as a way to give new graduates a let up into professional production.
Join director Michael Du-Shane (who is based in Port Arthur, Tasmania), producers Cathy Rodda and Norm Wilkinson and Monster Fest’s Kier-La Janisse for this special Hobart screening with Q&A moderated by Stranger With My Face’s Briony Kidd. This screening is presented with the assistance of Wide Angle Tasmania and Cooper Screen Academy.
