The second Next Gen program has been announced.
The monthly event held at The Backlot Perth will feature 8 short films and will feature special guests including Simon Akkerman ACS and Lauren Brunswick.
Simon is a highly experienced award winning cinematographer with a career spanning over 40 years. He’s worked for major clients across a variety of fields including feature film, drama short films, television shows, documentaries, large scale corporate and industrial productions as well as cinema/TV commercials and music video clips.
Lauren is an emerging producer/director of TV, short & feature films and multi-platform, who won “Best Director – Short Form” for her debut short ONO, and “Young Filmmaker of the Year” at the 2015 WA Screen Awards.

Resident Q&A host, Ben Young will also return on the evening and each ticket holder will receive a bag of popcorn thanks to The Pop Institute.
