The digital premiere follows a successful film festival run, premiering at SXSW London, and Official Selection at Bolton International Film Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, CinefestOZ and Short Com Comedy Festival.

T’s life spirals out of control after an unexpected visit from two licensing inspectors who threaten to remove all of his possessions.

Tim Nathan is an Australian filmmaker based between London and Perth, working across narrative film, commercials and music videos. His work is often characterised by a blend of absurdist comedy, heightened realism and distinctly human characters navigating extraordinary situations.

“At the time of writing this film, I was going through the most difficult period of my entire career,” says Tim.

“I had just moved to London from Australia and quickly realised that I would have to start from scratch. I was barely making any money and only just covering rent. There seemed to be more and more bills and taxes coming from every direction and I felt utterly powerless and surrendered to fate and luck.

In the midst of it all, I received a letter in the mail from the “TV licensing service” saying that I was under investigation. It was totally absurd and became the inspiration for the beginning of the film. In a broader sense, the film reflects the current cost of living crisis and the extreme pressure that many people are under just to stay afloat.”

Tim’s previous short film, Chucky Boy Blue, screened at festivals across Australia, winning Best Short Film at

Byron Bay Film Festival, nominated for Best Short Film at CinefestOZ, and received a Best Actor nomination at the Oscar-qualifying St Kilda Film Festival.

Alongside his narrative work, Tim has directed music videos for acclaimed Australian artists including Sticky

Fingers, Royel Otis, Polish Club and Holy Holy.
