Ali Nooriafshar in White Void.
Short horror film White Void is set to terrorise viewers this Halloween.
Directed by D.C. Fairhurst (Reaching Distance), White Void follows a fashion photographer who sees a nightmarish aberration in the glare of his camera flash.
“Often horror cinema can be reliant upon darkness and the fear of something lurking in the shadows. So White Void was an experiment to see if you could set something in the brightest, cleanest location possible and still make the audience jump,” Fairhurst told Cinema Australia.
“Star of the short, Ali Nooriafshar is a fellow director and we’ve often spoken about producing an anthology based around that challenge. So, this was a great opportunity to collaborate on a proof-of-concept.”
