A trailer has dropped for new Australian horror AIYAI and it’s bloody disturbing

It’s been a long time coming, but the first trailer for Ilanthirayan Alan Arumugam’s upcoming horror film delivers on scares for an independent Australian production.

AIYAI: Wrathful Soul is a psychological supernatural horror-thriller feature film from a script by Arumugam, Mukund Ramanan and Charles Benedict.

The word AIYAI originates from ancient Indian literature, metaphorically meaning ‘princess’, a woman from a homeless clan of gypsies who have remained destitute street mongers for generations.

The story revolves around a young man, Kiran who becomes plagued by mysterious tragedies. Whilst these incidents perplex the police and investigators, Kiran’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic with each tragedy – he experiences visions of events he is unable to understand or explain. Little does he realise, that he is the conduit for an unknown spirit which lures victims to their chilling fates.

AIYAI: Wrathful Soul stars Kabir Singh, Pennyanne Lace, Richard Huggett, Vinod Mohana Sundaram, William Wensley, Ozzie Devrish, Marco Sinigaglia, Tahlia Jade Holt and is produced by Kanesh Mohana Sundaram.

AIYAI is expected to release worldwide on 2019.
