A world premiere has been announced for Friends, Foes & Fireworks, a fully improvised drama from inspiring Australian filmmakers Ivan Malekin and Sarah Jayne of Nexus Production Group.

Shot over the course of a single night in seven locations around St Kilda, Friends, Foes & Fireworks explores an intimate New Year’s Eve reunion of five female friends, which becomes a test of relationships when old tensions spark, truths are told, and rivalries are reignited.

Will the group make it through the night together or will their friendship fizzle out like an overzealous fireworks display?

The result is an ambitious drama exploring relationships, love, friendship and the truths we try but fail to keep to ourselves. With it’s improvised acting, naturalistic look and feel the film is a brave and bold achievement by everyone involved.

Friends, Foes & Fireworks is directed by Jayne and Malekin and stars Lara Deam, Whitney Duff, Asleen Mauthoor, Genya Mik, Jess Riley and Daniel Hill who all give incredible performances in the film.

Friends, Foes & Fireworks will have its world premiere at the Classic Cinema Elsternwick on Wednesday March 21st at 7pm which will include a Q&A with cast and crew.
