Ben Elton’s Three Summers gets a release date and a fresh new poster

Can’t make it to MIFF or CinefestOZ?

Transmission Films have announced a November 2 release date for Ben Elton’s Three Summers, as well as a fresh new poster by Carnival Studio with art direction by Demi Hopkins and design and illustration by Cassandra Chapman.

On the eve of its MIFF Centrepiece Gala World Premiere, Transmission Films have released the poster for Ben Elton’s new feel-good Australian feature film Three Summers. A spirited take on the annual festival goers at a regional music festival over three consecutive years,

Shot entirely in WA, Three Summers is set for its home state WA Premiere at the Opening Night of Cinefest Oz on August 23.

The striking illustrated poster features the film’s romantic leads Robert Sheehan (Misfits) and Rebecca Breeds (Home and Away, Molly) surrounded by the all-star Australian cast including Magda Szubanski, Michael Caton, Kelton Pell, Deborah Mailman and John Waters.

Embracing the diversity of this typically Australian community as it gathers together in a music tent, the film fuses romance and music with Elton’s trademark wit and satirical edge, touching on a number of contemporary Australian issues, and with the soundtrack for the summer to come.

  1. Cant wait to see this movie, love the characters already and think this will be another “the castle” movie.
The more you watch it the more you find something extra, it’s like a
    “box of chocolates”.
