The Crowdfunders: Black Ghost

As a non-profit website dedicated to the support and promotion of Australian made films, Cinema Australia rarely gets the opportunity to throw cash at crowdfunding projects. Trust us, if we had the money we’d be executive producers on almost every new Australian film calling for supporters through the myriad of crowdfunding platforms available on the interwebs.

That’s why we’ve launched this feature – The Crowdfunders – which will shamelessly plug projects calling for your dollar. It’s just another way for us to do what we love doing most – supporting Aussie cinema!

Black Ghost is a Crime/Thriller set in modern times about an ex-commando living in a city that is controlled by The Northside Crew, The Reapers and The Regittis. Black Ghost is very much an outsider and makes his living carrying out contracts for the highest bidder. Although he is a muscle for hire he made himself a promise to stop killing. He accepts a contract from the daughter of a prominent couple who have been murdered. Black Ghost must embark on a game of cat and mouse to find the killer or killers and complete his contract. However will he break his golden rule and kill to find the answers?

Black Ghost is the brainchild of screenplay writer and actor Sean Schliwa. The film is derived from a graphic novel Sean wrote back in 2010 called The Streets Of The Black Ghost. This will be a unique and different film that has not been done before in Perth. Everyone who is in involved in making this film is very passionate and will be giving it their all to make the best film we can
