An array of Australian shorts on offer as Flickerfest celebrates 21 years at Camelot Outdoor

Celebrating 25 years of hot shorts, Flickerfest – Australia’s leading Academy® Accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival – is now on tour, following the annual festival that showcases the best short films from Australia and the world in competition and other special programmes.

Flickerfest is bringing the National Tour back to Perth for the 21st year of touring to Western Australia, screening from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 March 2016 at Camelot Outdoor.

Highlights of this year’s line up include some compelling films from local filmmakers fresh from competition at Flickerfest, screening alongside four international short films that have been nominated for an Academy® Award in the Live Action category – Ave Marie, Shok, Stutterer and Everything Will Be Okay.

The programmes screening in Perth are curated from a huge pool of films, each film handpicked from the Academy® Accredited and BAFTA-recognised festival’s 2300+ entries. The Flickerfest programmes present an entertaining, inspiring and award-winning range of shorts, giving local Flickerfest audiences a first look at the hottest short films in the world today.

At least one WA-made short film from talented Western Australian filmmakers will be included with each programme across the four nights, with Karroyul, Setting Them Straight, ONO, Pale Blue Eyes and Harvey’s Dream all screening.
