As if it couldn’t get any better for Wyrmwood.
The Roache-Turner Brother’s unconventional Zombie film reached another level of success on Wednesday night when it screened to a packed house at The Backlot Perth, thanks to FanForce.
“It was a really special event.” Backlot managing director Ian Hale told Cinema Australia. “Having the fans of Wyrmwood congregate before and after the screening created a real buzz on the night and we look forward to hosting more FanForce events in the future at The Backlot Perth.”
FanForce is a website where film buffs can pick a flick they want screened, choose a date, time and venue then share it across social media or other advertising avenues. If enough tickets are reserved for the screening, then bingo, it goes ahead.
Wednesday night’s screening was hosted by Lydia who told Cinema Australia, “It was great to be involved in the first FanForce screening in Perth, and I was very pleased with the night. It’s fantastic to have this kind of facility in Perth and the luxurious, intimate setting is perfectly suited to ‘event cinema’ screenings. I look forward to working with FanForce and The Backlot Perth again soon.”
