Monster Pictures announce Charlie’s Farm home entertainment release date.

Monster Pictures, Australia’s leading distributor of cutting edge genre cinema, is proud to announce the upcoming release on DVD, Blu-ray and Video on Demand of the eagerly awaited Charlie’s Farm, a thrilling slasher reboot that is surely one of the scariest and most gruesome Australian horror films in years.

Starring the seven foot Australian giant Nathan Jones (soon to feature as Rictus Erectus in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road), Tara Reid (star of American Pie and Sharknado) and horror icons Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) and Kane Hodder (Hatchet), this brutal horror masterpiece is set to single-handedly revitalise the slasher genre.

Charlie’s Farm introduces to the world Charlie Wilson (played by Nathan Jones), who will join Freddie Krueger and Jason voorHees in horror immortality and rival Wolf Creek’s Mick Taylor as Australia’s most iconic horror villain.

“We haven’t seen a film like Charlie’s Farm in years”, said Neil Foley, Director of Monster Pictures, “It’s everything we love about Aussie cinema, it’s brash, bold, brutal and brilliant. Move over Freddie and Jason – Charlie Wilson is coming to get ya!”, he enthused.

Shot in Queensland in 2014, Charlie’s Farm is an old fashioned horror joy ride, relying on practical special effects, not CGI, for some of the most gruesome and shocking deaths ever seen on screen.

After a nationwide cinema release in late 2014 Charlie’s Farm is a ‘must have’ for every horror movie fan and collector in Australia.

This is the third film from Director Chris Sun, who is well on his way to becoming, ‘Australia’s Master of Horror’.

The film will be unleashed onto the Australian public on DVD, Blu-ray and Video on Demand on June 17th and Monster Pictures, in association with Backlot Studios, will be hosting a special event screening and DVD launch on Saturday 13th of June in Melbourne, Australia as part of the ‘Monster Fest Presents’ series.
