Perth’s Telethon Community Cinemas continues to throw its support behind independent WA filmmakers by including Good For Nothing Blues in its summer program.
Alexander Lorian’s WA-shot crime comedy follows Calvin and his group of dole-bludging friends who suddenly come into money when they win $200,000 on the lottery. Having money for the first time ever seems like the answer to their prayers, but soon enough their investments go astray and they end up stuck in a web of drugs, debt, gangs and cops.
Good For Nothing Blues is written and directed by Lorian and stars Cody Brown, Andrea Lim, Bryce Myles, Rhys Hyatt, Blake Del Popolo, Jimi Kilday, Carlos Sivalingam, James Broadhurst and James Hag. The film is produced by Elle Cahill.
