Filmmakers have just over two weeks left to submit their feature films, short films and documentaries for the 2022 Capricorn Film Festival.

As the deadline nears, festival director Luke Graham and his team have already received a record number of submissions for the seventh edition of Central Queensland’s premiere film festival and destination event.

“Every year the quality of International, national and Central Queensland filmmakers raise the bar. Their production and storytelling skills are going to give our judges real challenges in having to select winners. We also have some very talented people finding their way into the industry and creating some truly exciting films,” says Graham.

Short films from Bundaberg to Yeppoon will compete in two categories, CAPS Open and CAPS Junior. The short film competition also includes CAPS Short and CAPS EXperimental, which is open to international and local filmmakers.

Entries are also open for Australian and international feature films and documentaries with the total prize pool at $4000.
