Revelation Perth International Film Festival is calling for entries for its 2021 edition and is looking for films of all forms, all durations, all subjects and all nationalities.
This call for entries underpins the annual program slate and provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers at all levels to be included in this high-quality, high-impact screening event.
Submissions close 1 April 2021.
Revelation Perth International Film Festival has also announced its fourth commissioning collaboration with the City of Vincent with the City of Vincent Filmmaking Project.
This unique initiative provides three filmmakers the opportunity to receive $7,000 each in production funds to produce a non-fiction film of 10-minutes or under that intersects in one way or another with the City of Vincent.
Filmmakers will be guided and mentored through the process from start to finish, providing a unique opportunity for filmmakers to learn all aspects of producing a film from technical requirements, storytelling fundamentals, post production techniques and marketing and communications strategies. The successful films will screen at a special gala during the 2021 Revelation Perth International Film Festival.
Applications can be made via the City of Vincent website – www.vincent.wa.gov.au/filmproject
Revelation takes place over ten days in July at Luna Cinemas (Leederville) and Luna SX (Fremantle) with satellite venues, events and partnerships across the metropolitan area that include talks, workshops an academic conference and masterclasses.
“We’re not only screening films, but initiating and commissioning them and being directly part of the lives and careers of these films and filmmakers. That’s an enormously rewarding place to be,” says Festival Director Richard Sowada.
