Following a postponed August 2020 release, Jonathan Ogilvie’s new Australian thriller Lone Wolf will have its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
A brand new Lone Wolf trailer has also been released via the IFFR YouTube channel.
Set in contemporary Melbourne, Lone Wolf tells the story of Winnie (Tilda Cobham-Hervey), a young woman who runs a struggling political bookshop with her boyfriend Conrad (Josh McConville) and takes care of her disabled brother, Stevie (Chris Bunton).
But Winnie’s efforts to hold everything together get thwarted when Conrad becomes entangled in an act of terrorism.
Lone Wolf is based on Joseph Conrad’s 1907 novel The Secret Agent and also stars Hugo Weaving, Diana Glenn, Stephen Curry, Marlon Williams, Tyler Coppin and Lawrence Mooney.
Ogilvie’s last Australian film was The Tender Hook back in 2008, also starring Hugo Weaving.
A release date for Lone Wolf is yet to be confirmed.
