New half hour documentary, Our Law, may be the most timely documentary screening at this month’s Sydney Film Festival.

With Black Lives Matter protests happening both at home and overseas, Our Law is a great example of what can happen when police and the community work together.

Our Law is set at Western Australia’s first Indigenous-run Police Station, where two Noongar officers, Brevet Sen. Sgt Revis Ryder and Brevet Sgt Wendy Kelly, must learn Yarnangu Lore and culture and master the local Ngaanyatjarra language, if they are to effectively police one of the most remote beats in the world.

In this episode of the Cinema Australia Podcast, host Matthew Eeles is joined by Our Law director Cornel Ozies and producer Taryne Laffar to discuss the making of this insightful and completely engaging documentary.

Audiences can watch Our Law on NITV on Karla Grant Presents on Monday 22 June at 8.30pm or purchase tickets to a sneak peek virtual screening at Sydney Film Festival, running online from 10 – 21 June 2020.

Anyway… enjoy.
