Gizmodo Australia has dropped the first trailer for Kiah Roache-Turner’s Nekrotronic and it’s absolutely batshit crazy.
As you’d expect from the makers of Wyrmwood, Nekrotronic is described as a brain-meltingly insane sci-fi extravaganza where demonic possession is possible through your smartphone and the Nekromancers – a group of demon hunters hellbent on restoring order.
“This was such a fun film to make and I think the energy from set really comes through on the screen for audiences,” Kiah Roache-Turner told Cinema Australia earlier in the year. “There literally wasn’t a single day of shooting that didn’t involve some epic stunt work, practical fx or super-badass creature makeup. And guns. Lots and lots of guns. In addition, we were truly blessed with the casting of Monica Bellucci as our leading villainess, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. It’s a huge step up in filmmaking scope for us, the team we assembled was fantastically experienced – like a well oiled machine of demonic production.”
Nekrotronic stars Ben O’Toole, Monica Bellucci, Caroline Ford, Tess Haubrich, Bob Savea and David Wenham. Nekrotronic was written by Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner. An Australian release date is set to be announced soon.
