Your first look at Ben Elton’s Three Summers

The first trailer for Three Summer is here.

Ben Elton’s anticipated new film was recently announced as a contender for the CinefestOZ $100,000 Film Prize when it screens at the Busselton-based festival towards the end of August.

The WA-shot comedy will also have its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival later this month.

Three Summers is set over three years at a fictional folk-music festival. Two young musicians fall in love against a wider collection of tales dealing frankly but humorously with a microcosm of contemporary discussion points, including Indigenous, immigration and refugee issues.

Three Summers is described as a big-hearted comedy with a sterling ensemble featuring Michael Caton, Magda Szubanski, Deborah Mailman, Jacqueline McKenzie and John Waters. It stars Robert Sheehan and Rebecca Breeds as the romantic leads.
