Independent Australian action sci-fi movie Occupation has ramped up filming with the casting of four key roles. Joining the fight for survival are Logie-Award winning actor Aaron Jeffery (Wentworth, McLeod’s Daughters), Kat Risteska (Home and Away, Dance Academy), Ben Chisholm (Red Billabong, The Legend of Ben Hall) and Erin Connor (The Suicide Theory).
Now in the third week of a six-week shoot taking place in locations across Northern NSW and the Gold Coast, Occupation is an action sci-fi tale about a group of small town residents who have to work together after a hostile ground invasion. The group have to rely on each other to stay one step ahead of the invaders and must come together in order to survive. ‘
Jeffery, Risteska, Connor and Chisholm join a cast headlined by New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison (Moana, Star Wars: Episode II and III) and Aussie star Dan Ewing (Home and Away, Red Billabong).
The film also stars Stephany Jacobsen (Battlestar Galactica), Rhiannon Fish (The 100), Charles Terrier (Neighbours), Bruce Spence (Mad Max 2), Felix Williamson (The Great Gatsby, Underbelly), Charles Mesure (Desperate Housewives, Once Upon a Time), Zachary Garred (General Hospital), Izzy Stevens (Puberty Blues, Underbelly), Trystan Go (The Family Law) and AFI award-winner Jacqueline McKenzie (The 4400).
Occupation is currently filming on the Gold Coast.
