A second trailer dropped this morning for The Legend of Ben Hall.
Arguably one of the most anticipated local films of the year, Matthew Holmes’ Australian epic follows legendary bushranger Ben Hall as he and his gang attempt to escape NSW before the law catches up with them.
Director Holmes is thrilled the second trailer has finally been unveiled. “We’ve been sitting on it for months! It’s so rewarding to finally show people what we’ve been working on all this time and to introduce these characters to the world,” Holmes told Cinema Australia. “The responses to the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive. The word ‘goosebumps’ is thrown around a lot, which tells me the story is connecting emotionally with people.”
As far as the film itself, the first-time feature filmmaker couldn’t be more excited to finally share his work with audiences around the world. “I’ve been working nine years to get this film onto the screen and I’m so proud of everyone’s work,” he said. “I think people will be very surprised at what we’ve made, it’s quite unlike any bushranger film that’s come before. This is the fun part of filmmaking, bringing it to an audience. I’m pumped!”
The Legend of Ben Hall is in Australian cinemas on December 1. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
