SparkeFilms have released the first online teaser trailer for their feature film Red Billabong.
Starring Home & Away’s Dan Ewing and Dance Academy favourite Tim Pocock, Red Billabong is an Action/Adventure film that is currently in Post Production at the Qld based The Post Lounge studios. Sophie Don, Jessica Green, Ben Chisholm, John Reynolds, Emily Joy, James Straiton also star along with Felix Williamson (Underbelly: Razor, The Great Gatsby) and Gregory Fryer (The Sapphires).
The film was shot in Queensland, Australia, where it employed over 200 local crew. The films Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages have already received a large following with role outs of behind the scenes videos and stills.
“Red Billabong is an exciting piece of Australian cinema, beautifully shot and directed – I think our first teaser shows this. It’s such an exciting and fun film – a little mini Australian blockbuster and I believe we have discovered some incredible up and coming talent in the process. I can’t wait for audiences to see it,” says the film’s producer Carly Imrie.
“In the Australian Outback, two brothers discover old secrets and family lies. As their friends start to go missing they fear they are being stalked by someone or something from their worst nightmares – But is it just – A story? A legend? A hoax? Or is it real?”
The company is also pleased to announce that international sales agent, Arclight Films, will be handling sales on the project.

The film makers are bringing an exclusive, extended trailer, to OZ COMIC CON both in Brisbane on September 19-20 and Sydney on September 26-27. Dan Ewing and Tim Pocock will be joined by the other cast members, producers and Writer/Director for both days at their booth and on stage. Film buffs can purchase first run teaser posters, cast photos and have them signed by the actors.
