CinemaPlus and Illumination Films have launched the trailer and poster for Paul Cox’s new film, Force of Destiny, with the announcement of the film’s official Australian Premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival in August.
David Denham starts as Robert, a renowned sculpture diagnosed with cancer of the liver. While reeling from this news he meets Maya (Shaman Goswami), an Indian marine biologist who comes from a different world, a different reality. Robert’s passion for Maya intensifies as he confronts the agony and ecstasy of finding the love that has evaded him his entire life, just as his body is about to be taken from him. New hope comes when he’s placed on the transplant waiting list.
Force of Destiny is a most extraordinary love story from veteran filmmaker Paul Cox, made poignant because of the own experiences; falling in love, living with cancer, and life-saving liver transplant.
David Wenham and Shaman Goswami are joined by an international cast including Jacqueline McKenzie, Hannah Fredericksen, Seema Biswas, Mohan Ageshe and Terry Norris.
CinemaPlus will release Force of Destiny in cinemas later this year.
Force of Destiny was produced by Mark Patterson, Maggie Miles and Baby Mathew Somatheeram.
