Only two Australian feature films are booked to hit cinemas this month and they’re absolute beauties.
First off is David Michôd’s followup to his critically acclaimed Animal Kingdom. The Rover’s trailer has been viewed over 1,200,000 times on YouTube – no doubt by Robert Pattinson fan-girls but this is sure to be a rare Australian box-office success.
The next cab off the rank will be Rhys Graham’s Galore, which is the talented directors first feature film after a string of successful documentaries and shorts as well as Small Mercies – Graham’s contribution to The Turning.
A third Australian film comes in the form of The Last Impresario. A documentary from director Gracie Otto about Michael White, ‘the most famous person you’ve never heard of.’
