Tina Arena will join Mary Coustas on stage at special preview screenings and in conversation events in Sydney on Sunday 23 August, to celebrate the upcoming cinema release of the new documentary Tina Arena: Unravel Me. The highly anticipated film received its World Premiere last night at the Astor Theatre as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival, ahead of its release in cinemas around the country on 27 August.
Marking 50 years in the spotlight, Tina Arena: Unravel Me is an intimate and cinematic portrait of one of Australia’s most enduring and enigmatic artists. Told through two interwoven lenses – Tina the icon and Tina the woman – this landmark documentary peels back five decades of fame to reveal the dualities that have defined her life and the new revelations that have remained untold until now.
Featuring a mix of archival footage and new interviews with Tina’s sisters, her mentor Johnny Young and former collaborators and peers including Celine Dion, Ronan Keating, Marc Antony, Desmond Child and Jessica Mauboy, Tina Arena: Unravel Me is an emotional and raw documentary charting the career so far of one of Australia’s best-selling artists.
Following preview screenings of the film at Ritz Cinemas, Palace Cinemas Norton Street, and the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, much loved actress and comedian Mary Coustas will join Tina Arena on stage for a conversation about her celebrated career. Tickets are on sale now.
