Ashlyn Louden-Gamble. shines as Monday, a nine-year old girl home-schooled by her father Bob (Aaron Jeffrey) in Sydney. 

Due to her terminal illness Monday’s only contact with the outside world is her weekly visit to the hospital. Monday’s imagination is captured by the Moon Rock (Uluru) which she believes will heal her and desires to travel to the middle of Australia to find it. 

By a twist of fate, she becomes caught up in a police chase involving Tyler (George Pullar) a street kid with a massive heart. Tyler uses Monday to evade the police, but despite the circumstances they soon form a friendship. 

They decide to go on the run, road tripping to the Northern Territory to find the Moon Rock.

Moon Rock For Monday was selected for Adelaide Film Festival in South Australia, CinefestOz in Western Australia, Busan International Kids & Youth Film Festival in South Korea, Ale Kino Family Film Festival Poland, The Kristiansand International Film Festival in Norway, Byron Bay International Film Festival NSW, Capricorn Film Festival & Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival in Queensland, The Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, The Beijing International Film Festival, The Cinemagic Film Festival UK (Dublin, Ireland) and won the two top awards at the Schlingel Film Festival in Germany- Jury Prize & FIPRESCI Prize (International Federation of Film Critics). It also was the winner of Best Feature Film, Best Screenplay and best lead actor at the 2021 Australian Screen Industry Network Awards.
