New Australian feature film It Only Takes A Night will begin filming in Perth next month.

Melbourne-born actor Eliza Taylor (The 100) is set to star in the new romantic-comedy written and directed by Perth-based filmmaker, Callan Durlik.

Durlik’s screenwriting credits include feature film The Naked Wanderer and short film Runner which recently screened at the WA Made Film Festival.

It Only Takes A Night follows four best friends on a girl’s night out, who end up on a path none of them expected and find out it really does only take one night to change your life.

Most recognisable for her role as role as Clarke Griffin in The 100, Taylor has an impressive list of screen credits including Neighbours and Patrick – a 2013 remake of the 1978 Australian classic. Taylor will also be an executive producer.

“I am so humbled to have the opportunity to produce a film that not only elevates the female voice but showcases Australian actors and film makers,” said Taylor.

George Pullar (Moon Rock for Monday), Sana’a Shaik (2067, Dive Club), Arielle Carver-O’Neill (Ash Vs Evil Dead), Charles Grounds (Baz Luhrmann’s Untitled Elvis Project) and Jaime Ureta (Here Out West) will co-star in the film along with Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ Ana Ika making her feature debut.

Set in LondonIt Only Takes A Night makes a statement through four female characters who learn to own their worth, redefine their destinies and support each other despite their differences.

It Only Takes A Night will be produced by Callan Durlik and Josh Horneman of Rookies Ambush (The Naked Wanderer), Megan Wynn of Wynn Media (The Invisible Man; The Mountain Between Us) and Kara Pisconeri of Star Shadow Media, filming will commence in early May in Perth, Western Australia.
