New film made by children needs your support

The team behind the award-winning Rites of Passage, a feature length drama made collaboratively with young people, have launched a crowd funding campaign for their new collaboration, Protection.

Boasting a cast and crew of over 100 young people aged between 5 – 16 years, Protection was filmed over three years. The team are raising money to tour Protection across the country with the hope that a couple of the young filmmakers will be able to travel with the film and share their experiences with other children and create a conversation from the issues and message that come up in the film.

The storylines in Protection are based on real experiences of the children who made it. The film contains 32 stories which have been turned into an animation with a special filter.
