Tickets now on sale for Crushed – A great Australian mystery thriller

Tickets are now available for new Australian film Crushed.

Most of the event-style screenings with feature a Q&A with the writer, director and producer Megan Riakos as well as other cast and crew members including Sarah Bishop at Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne & Townsville, Les Hill at Sydney, Remy Brand at Mudgee and Robert Preston at Sydney and Mudgee.

Tickets must be pre-purchased by clicking the locations above or by heading to Fan-Force, a minimum numbers of tickets must be sold 7 days before the event before the screening can be confirmed. If the minimum number, isn’t sold the screening won’t go ahead, so jump online and grab a ticket (and don’t worry, you’re only charge you if the screening goes ahead!).

Crushed is the story of a young woman who returns home to her family vineyard after her father dies in an accident on the winery. But when his death is ruled a murder and her mother becomes the prime suspect, she must uncover the truth.  Australia’s stunning wine country is the backdrop for this thrilling murder mystery.

Crushed had its world premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival and has screened/is screening at a number of festivals, including Napa Valley Film Festival late last year and Miami International Film Festival and Vancouver International Women in Film Festival in March. Crushed is Megan Riakos’s debut feature film and was nominated for the Golden Zenith Award for first feature Films in Montreal, won Best Thriller and Best Actress (Sarah Bishop) at Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival and won Best Australian Director at the Fantastic Planet Film Festival.  Crushed also received some great press, including a review in The Hollywood Reporter calling Crushed “A solid debut”.

  1. I saw this at the AFT Preview and Q & A last night and found that its highlights were marvellous but its lowlights were disappointing and could have been avoided. Still a very engaging Aussie thriller; being a first-time effort makes it particularly impressive. Please drop in for a read of my review.
