Storm Boy returns to the big screen for one night only

Continuing its succession of popular screenings, Revelation Perth International Film Festival has announced its next screening title

Australian Revelations is a celebration of Australian film via monthly screenings and it is with enormous pleasure that we present a special family screening of the all-time Australian classic, Storm Boy.

Very much part of Australia’s film renaissance of the 1970s, Storm Boy tells the story of Mike who lives on the isolated South Australian coast with his reclusive father. After a pelican is shot, Mike rears the bird’s chicks and a friendship develops between him and one special bird, Mr Percival.

Famous for its stunning photography, this is a perennial family favourite and will be presented as a beautifully restored version made for the film’s 40th year celebrations.

Storm Boy will screen at The Backlot Perth on Monday 18 January from 2pm. All tickets $15 and available here.
