Greenfield, a five-part series filmed in WA, took home two awards for best performance by an actress and best performance by an actor in WA’s most prestigious industry awards.
WASA Award Winner Web Series; Greenfield was shot in the Wheat belt town of Merredin, Western Australia as a part of Screenwest’s 3 to 1 incentive, giving young WA film makers a chance to showcase their talent.
Lead actor Ethan Tomas and Lead Actress Marthe Snorresdotter Rovik took home the Best Actor and Actress award at the 27th Annual West Australian Screen Awards on Monday.
The Series was a co-production between WA company Tino Films and Danish company Bread and Butter, offering a unique look at Australian life through a European lens.
The confronting Series doesn’t shy away from real issues that affect our community such as bullying, sexuality, abuse and group mentality.
The team hope with the right support to get as many people to see the project and get the community talking about these important issues.
Greenfield, one of the first major Australian dramatic Web series of its type and held its World Premiere to a sell-out cinema last Thursday at Luna Leederville. It was released online that same night.
