Chris Wallace is one of Australia’s finest songwriters and storytellers. Over his decade-spanning career he has worked with, befriended, advised, and dined with some of the industry’s finest.

From Liza Minnelli to Woody Allen, from Harry Belafonte to Marlon Brando, Wallace has a plethora of stories to tell.

In Story and Song we see his one-man, multimedia retrospective – going to the core of the question “Who Is This Guy?”.

Story & Song has been a lifetime in the making. Its name-dropping notwithstanding, the show carries the audience along with the stories behind six diverse songs from the Wallace catalogue. As Wallace admits, with tongue in cheek, “It’s 90% true and 10% art.”

Filmed live at The Butterfly Club in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Chris opens the book on six of his songs that make up Series One of Story & Song.

Starting from the beginnings in his home country of America, we make our way through Hollywood, Los Angeles, Texas, California and then down to Australia where he calls home; meeting a whole range of people working in the film, music & television industry along the way.
