Fans of Australian cinema, sic-fi and all-round great films will be treated to a screening of Predestination this Friday night at The Val in Richmond.
Working from sci-fi god Robert A. Heinlein’s seminal short story All You Zombies, this dizzying time-travel adventure from Queensland natives The Spierig Brothers is by far their most ambitious work yet.
A wild tale of a time-spun web of relationships, all orbiting a devastating terrorist attack, this masterpiece casually (and awesomely) takes place between the 1940s and 1990s, resulting in some predictably amazing period details. Already compared to almost every brilliant time-bending film ever made, it’s one part mind candy, one part intrigue, and generous heaps of insanity.
Starring Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook, and Noah Taylor.
