When the Stellar Short Film Festival says it’s bringing audiences 12 of Australia’s best short films to its upcoming March 4 event, they’re not joking.
In fact, this year’s incredible line-up of short films is so good, it even includes An Ostrich Told Me the World Is Fake and I Think I Believe It, which was recently nominated for an Oscar.
Stellar Short Film Festival is a carefully curated fusion of film, food and beverages, art and entertainment, all set within the stunning McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery.
Returning for its fourth year, Stellar will showcase the very best of Australian short films from the 2020–2022 circuit, shortlisted from the winners of over 75 film festivals around the country. The selected films will compete on the night for significant prizes, with winners selected by a panel of industry judges including Chloé Hayden (Heartbreak High), Natalie Erika James (Relic) and writer and director Bradley Slabe, as well as an audience choice award.
General Admission guests will receive entry to the Sculpture Park where they can wander through the bushland and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor art, tunes from a live DJ and the chance to relax on the lawns, before settling in for the film festival. An array of quality food, sweets and beverages will be available to purchase from local stallholders on the night.
Stellar is a boutique event, with a limited number of general admission tickets and just 100 VIP tickets available to the public. Round up your friends and get in fast for your tickets. Buy an experience you’ll always remember!
