The Noosa International Film Festival

The Noosa International Film Festival is one of Australia’s newest destination film festivals, screening Australian and international feature length films, high quality short films, and staging inspirational workshops and talks with leading industry experts – all set in the beautiful backdrop of Noosa.

Noosa is world-famous for surfing, known for its expansive beaches and colourful bays, and adored for its national parks that meet the ocean. It is the perfect destination to relax, stay and play with unspoilt stretches of white sand and breathtaking swimming bays – the perfect place for a film festival.

There’s plenty to see and do and the region has an array of beachfront towns and hinterland villages with plenty of cafes and restaurants in a relaxed and casual setting.

Taking place from 25-28 October in 2018 over four days, NIFF will showcase new Australian and international short and feature length films and industry workshops across Noosa’s coastal and hinterland venues.

Founding Festival Patron and Academy Award-winning cinematographer, John Seale returns to NIFF for the third year to present the NIFF 2018 Short Film Awards and participate in networking and panel discussion events.

NIFF’s opening night film will feature the Queensland premiere of Heath Davis’ Book Week and Q&A with the director.

Official Selection shorts will screen at multiple sessions across the festival. NIFF’s diverse themed sessions on Women & Film, Environment, Real Stories, Thriller and Comedy are sure to entertain.

Immerse yourself in screen stories – and see the world differently.
