
Located at one of Australia’s coolest venues within one of Australia’s coolest art precincts is Brisbane’s very own Australia Independent Film Festival.
Known passionately as “the filmmaker’s festival,” AIFF is on track to become Australia’s premiere live screening short film and screenplay festival.
AIFF23 will next take place in Brisbane at Metro Arts West Village Brisbane from October 27.
Founded in 2017 AIFF has grown from strength to strength and is now a prominent event on the international festival circuit. In 2022 AIFF was ranked in the top 30 best reviewed film festivals on FilmFreeway out of over 10,000 registered festivals.

AIFF accepts screenplay submissions up to 40 pages and film submissions up to 40 minutes in duration, in the form of both fiction and non-fiction shorts. Categories include Animation, Documentary, Experimental, and Live Action.
