Sean Bell’s Electric Feel is a personal and ambitious leap into feature filmmaking
Cinema Australia is thrilled to give readers an exclusive first-look at Sean Bell’s dystopian sci-fi drama, Electric Feel.
The upcoming film follows Jane (played by newcomer Naomi Belet), who is addicted to a public TV broadcast scientifically engineered to reduce depression and anxiety. When the broadcast suddenly goes off-air, Jane’s world unravels, forcing her to venture outside her comfort zone and into a chaotic underground rave scene that may hold the key to the mystery.
“It’s been a ten-year labour of love, now we’re so thrilled to share this first look at our sci-fi feature film, Electric Feel,” Bell tells Cinema Australia.
“It’s a totally unique story with fresh talent and a strong theme about mental health that I’m so proud to champion. It’s the definition of big heart, microbudget indie filmmaking – made with a fearless, punk spirit that I grew up inspired by in other indie films!”
Keep an eye on cinemaaustralia.com.au for more updates on the film. But for now, you can enjoy the trailer below.
