Western Australia’s epic 1000km Bibbulmun Track is taking centre stage as production kicks off on West Coast Visions feature film End to End.

Written by Tim Barretto (Bassendream) and Melanie Filler (Bassendream), End to End follows a middle-aged couple who embark on a long-held promise to hike the Bibbulmun Track – in a desperate bid to determine the fate of their struggling marriage.

Through the emotional and cathartic 50-day journey, the couple grapples with their entrenched ways, reliving moments they thought they had left behind. Caroline Brazier (Mystery Road: Origin, The Twelve, Rake) plays Isla and Nic Cassim (Mr Inbetweeen, The Surfer, Total Control) takes the role of Sam.

Filming across the state from Perth to Albany, the production will traverse several regional locations along the track, including at Walpole, Donnelly River and Dwellingup during the month-long shooting schedule.

Barretto is Director and Producer and Filler is Producer. David Noakes, who spent his formative filmmaking years in WA where he produced award-winning films including How the West Was Lost, Taking A Look, and Bigger than Texas, is Executive Producer.

End to End is the 2024 recipient of Screenwest’s highly coveted West Coast Visions, an initiative designed to uncover, inspire and develop Western Australian filmmakers with distinctive visions for a debut feature film for theatrical release. Screenwest and Lotterywest have provided production funding for first-time feature film directors in Western Australia, with Screen Australia support.
