Two Ugly People first-look clip!

Cato Ayyar and Michael Sheasby  in Two Ugly People.

CinefestOZ Film Festival audiences will be the first in the world to experience Two Ugly People, the debut feature from writer and director Peter Skinner. A first-look clip from the stunning new drama has been released, which you can watch below.

Two Ugly People follows two strangers (Michael Sheasby and Cato Ayyar) who meet by chance in a highway-side motel, but as their stay goes on, we begin to wonder if their meeting was by chance at all.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Sheasby and Ayyar, Ben Oxenbould, Di Adams, Jeamin Lee, Tiejun Liu, Chaydon Jay, Montana Jones and Julia Gardell. Skinner directs from his own screenplay, with producing credits shared between Gardell, Orla Doyle, Dinusha Ratnaweera and Skinner himself.

Set to make its world premiere in Busselton, Two Ugly People joins a line-up of anticipated Australian films at this year’s CinefestOZ which also includes Kiah Roache-Turner’s new shark horror Beast of War, Zoe Pepper’s dark comedy Birthright, and the world premiere of Chris Broadbent and Enzo Tedeschi’s new horror, It Will Find You.

Keep an eye on cinemaaustralia.com.au for an exclusive podcast interview with Peter Skinner which will be released over the coming days.
