Luke Sparke, the writer and director behind creature features like Red Billabong and the Occupation series, returns to the big screen with his latest action thriller, Primitive War.
After battling Bunyips and fending off world-destroying aliens, Sparke is now taking on history’s mightiest beasts – dinosaurs!
Written and directed by Sparke, Primitive War is based on the cult-followed book by Ethan Pettus and follows a recon unit known as the Vulture Squad which is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. They soon discover that dinosaurs have been let loose in the jungles of the Vietnam war.
Primitive War stars an incredible cast of local and international talent including Ryan Kwanten, Tricia Helfer, Nick Wechsler, Carlos Sanson, Aaron Glanane, Anthony Ingruber, Albert Mwangi, Adolphus Waylee, Henry Nixon, Jake Ryan, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Lincoln Lewis and Ana Thu Nguyen.
Primitive War is eyeing a mid-2025 release, but until then, here’s a selection of first-look stills as well as the film’s teaser poster.
