
Wallis Cinemas Piccadilly

WA distributor HALO Films has partnered with Adelaide’s Wallis Cinemas Piccadilly to screen its slate of quality productions.
This new partnership adds Wallis Cinemas Piccadilly to a list of cinemas which will screen HALO Films exclusively including Luna Leederville in Perth, Melbourne’s The Classic in Elsternwick, Lido Cinemas in Hawthorn, Cameo Cinemas in Belgrave, and The Ritz Cinema in Randwick, Sydney.
“HALO Films is thrilled to add The Piccadilly as a partner location in Adelaide adding to the other wonderful support from cinemas in Perth, Regional WA, Sydney and Melbourne providing independent filmmakers from WA a pathway to a national audience for their films,” HALO Films managing director Ian Hale tells Cinema Australia.

Wallis Cinemas Piccadilly is currently undergoing major renovations to restore the iconic location back to its original 1940s glory.
“We are delighted The Piccadilly in Adelaide will partner with HALO Films when the cinema reopens in December 2022,” Wallis Cinemas Piccadilly programming executive Manda Flett tells Cinema Australia.
“Ian’s delight and enthusiasm for all things film matches that of the iconic Piccadilly, which is the heart and soul of Adelaide cinema. We look forward to collaborating with HALO Films in bringing events to passionate Piccadilly audiences.”
HALO Films current slate of films includes Steven J. Mihaljevich’s The Xrossing, Garth De Bruno Austin’s documentary The Last Horns of Africa, Adam Morris’ Albany-shot drama Edward and Isabella, Tristan Pemberton’s Gravel Road, Tim Baretto’s brilliant Bassendream, and Julius Telmer’s Greenfield which is now available on-demand via RevStream.
Adam Morris’ sophomore feature film Frank and Frank (or The Valley and the Walrus: Ruminations on the Mystery from Soup to Nuts) will be distributed through Halo Films early 2023.
