Bendy Spoon Productions are calling on the public to help support their new film, Fragmentary.
Writer, director, producer and Actor Jace Pickard (Lead Me Astray, Remember Redfield) is currently crowdfunding his latest project which is eyeing an April shoot.
Fragmentary tells the story of Ben Sanderson, a young man who discovers he has the ability to travel to an alternate reality when he is under the influence of alcohol.
“Joss Whedon was a huge inspiration on this film as he would take realistic scenarios that people face in day to day life and add a supernatural twist to them, especially in Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Pickard said.
“The main theme here is the danger of alcoholism and the ways we cope after we have lost someone very dear to us. The film isn’t trying to paint alcoholism in a positive light but to express the lengths people may go to be with their loved ones again.”
Bendy Spoon Productions have a crowdfunding target of $5000, half of the films total budget, and will go towards special effects and make-up, locations, accommodation, food for actors and crew, equipment and post-production.
