This Australia Day, enjoy a sausage sizzle and the Triple J Hottest 100 Countdown in the NFSA courtyard, four true blue movie and TV screenings, and a special celebration of the 80s musical classic Starstruck– with special guest, director Gillian Armstrong!
The sausage sizzle (plus a delicious Australian-themed menu from our cafe The Bench Room) starts from 11:30am.
The family friendly screenings are:
Crocodile Dundee (1985, M), 12pm, Arc, $5
The Castle (1997, M), 2pm, Arc, $5
They’re a Weird Mob (1966, PG), 4pm, Arc, $5
Skippy – season 1, 12-5pm, Theatrette, FREE
Then at 6:30pm don’t miss the Canberra premiere of the NFSA’s digital restoration of Starstruck ($15). The screening is part of NFSA Restores and will include a conversation with director Gillian Armstrong, and a special one-day only exhibition featuring costumes and props from the film.
