This time last week we were pleased to announce The Dead Speak Back will screen during this years Revelation Perth International Film Festival.

Tonight we’re even more pleased to announce the second Australian feature to screen will be Samantha Rebillet’s The Last Goodbye.

Rebillet told Cinema Australia, “I’ve never been to Perth before so I’m very excited about heading over for our premier screening! I will also be presenting at the Academic Conference, talking about the use of the hand-held camera and how it may be used to engage the audience on an emotional level.”

The film follows the journey of a young and delicate beauty (Natasha Bassett) who travels to Paris to reunite with her estranged and forcibly fabulous DJ mother (Samantha Rebillet). They have not seen each other for seven years, and have to work at finding a natural bond. Shot by esteemed cinematographer Velinda Wardell, and jam packed with original tunes by pop sensation Ilan Kidron (iKid), The Last Goodbye will be a visual, aural and emotional sexy beast of a feast.

Rebillet is currently in development on a feature script with Perth based writer Reg Cribb.
