FTI is now accepting entries for the Young Filmmaker of the Year Award, to be presented at the 26th WA Screen Awards (WASA).
This prestigious award, which holds prize money of $5,000, is presented to a young filmmaker who is committed to developing their craft and has shown a dedication and passion for the Screen Industry.
Past winners of such as Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours), Elissa Down, (The Black Balloon), Merlin Cornish (Last Train to Freo) and Ben Young (John Butler – Only One) have gone on to build successful careers in the screen sector.
To be eligible, entrants must be 25 years or under as of 31 March 2014.
Nominees must provide a showreel, curriculum vitae / biography and complete the selection criteria outlining their achievements and career goals.
ENTRIES CLOSE 5:00 PM, 21 MAY 2014.
The WASA’s are an FTI initiative to enhance the vibrancy of the WA screen sector through increasing awareness of WA screen arts and connecting screen practitioners of all disciplines and career stages.
