Mystery Road Q&A Preview Screening

MYSTERY ROAD, the new film by acclaimed auteur writer and director Ivan Sen will be released in cinemas across Australia on October 17.  Tickets are now on sale for special Q&A preview screening in Perth at Luna Leederville on Friday 11 October at 6.30pm featuring director Ivan Sen.  The screening is part of the Luna’s Talking Pictures series, and will be hosted by local indigenous filmmaker Kelrick Martin.

MYSTERY ROAD is a gripping murder-mystery with a cultural perspective.  Aaron Pedersen stars as indigenous detective Jay Swan, who returns to his outback home town, to solve the murder of a teenage girl, whose body is found under the highway trucking route out of town.

Aaron is joined by a stellar Australian ensemble cast including Hugo Weaving, Ryan Kwanten, Jack Thompson, Tony Barry, Bruce Spence, Robert Mammone, David Field, Roy Billing, Jack Charles, Daniel Roberts, Tasma Walton, Damian Walshe-Howling and Samara Weaving.

Ivan Sen’s body of work marks him as one of the pre-­‐eminent voices in Australian cinema. His award winning films, such asBeneath Clouds and Toomelah, each with a powerful personal vision, have played at Berlin, Sundance and Cannes.  He is above all a director, but also shoots, composes and edits his film.
