Submissions have officially opened for the 2026 WA Made Film Festival.
WA-based filmmakers are encouraged to submit their feature films, short films, documentaries, student films, web series, television episodes, and Get Smart! Presented by Buy West Eat Best smartphone films to be part of this unmissable event running from February 20 – March 1, set to take place across a variety of vibrant venues throughout the City of Perth.
Now in its seventh year, the WA Made Film Festival has become a vital platform for showcasing the depth, diversity, and creativity of WA’s screen sector. Whether you’re an emerging filmmaker or an experienced professional, this is your opportunity to share your story with a passionate audience and connect with fellow creatives, industry leaders, and film lovers from across the country.
The 2026 festival promises an exciting lineup including world premieres, Perth premieres, filmmaker Q&A sessions, pre and post-screening networking events, the return of the WA Made Student Awards, and an expanded ScreenCraft industry and educational program featuring workshops, talks, and panel discussions led by some of the state’s most respected screen professionals.
After showcasing more than 100 WA-made films across two weekends in 2025, the festival is set to grow even further in 2026, shining a well-deserved spotlight on the local stories, voices, and talent that make WA’s screen industry so unique.
Whether you’ve created something bold, heartfelt, hilarious, thought-provoking, or completely out-of-the-box – we want to see it!
