See the trailer for Nathan Bender’s short action thriller, Night of the Ronin

A trailer has dropped for Nathan Bender’s short action thriller, Night of the Ronin, ahead of the film’s festival run which is set to begin over the next few months.

After a double cross gone wrong, the unprofessional hitman and his boss’s girl are on the run.

After surviving a horrific beat down they retreat to her childhood home in hopes of surviving a wave of armed goons looking to retrieve the mobster’s property and the head of The Ronin who betrayed him.

Jeffim Sheroky, Amelia Conway and Alexander Robinson star in this rapid fire love letter to the action cinema from the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and now; with a brutal edge on the action sequences that bloodthirsty director Nathan Bender adds to make Night of The Ronin a crimson soaked, masterfully choreographed and viciously executed addition to the action genre.

With a minimalist approach to dialogue but maximalist to non-verbal storytelling, the philosophies of character through gesture and emotion through action; Night of The Ronin follows the lead set by visionary filmmakers such as Genndy Tartakovsky and John Woo in showcasing visual storytelling over verbal.
